On December 15 2026, the CoCreate project partners gathered at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Duisburg for our first transnational project meeting. It was wonderful to bring together the full consortium to launch this exciting collaboration!
During the meeting, we mapped out our first year of activities, which will include a series of co-design workshops and focus groups to ensure our approach is grounded in community needs. We’re also planning a dissemination event in the Netherlands and a hackathon at the University of Duisburg-Essen to engage students and researchers in hands-on development.
A key focus of our discussion was building meaningful collaborations with communities around civic engagement and participation—central to the project’s mission of empowering citizens through creativity and entrepreneurship.
The energy and enthusiasm in the room were palpable, and we’re all excited to officially kick off this journey together. Stay tuned for more updates as we move forward!
